Social Cinema refers to short film/video works on INSTAGRAM. The site previously limited it's video upload to 15 seconds, and now has extended it to a 1 minute limit. A few high budget, mainstream filmmakers began using the 15 second format, and now 1 minute, while a plethora of selfie/cat/fuck around videos have naturally been flourishing.

There is a window for art/experimental video/filmmakers to share their work while experimenting with the 1 minute format and the construct of social cinema as a screening platform. Per usual, many/most of the avant garde'ists have yet to understand, embrace and experiment with working in this medium (yet they spend a good chunk of time posting selfies and such on FarceBook).

I have HASHTAGGED #SocialCinemaBrut to designate works that focus on art, experiment, subversive, outsider, and absurdist works which are constructed specifically for use in the "Social Cinema" 1 minute format. The following are my own SocialCinemaBrut works (all shot, edited and/or acted in by me)  which are currently released. New works are continually uploaded, 1-5 days a week.  Below are several 15 second Social Cinema {brut} pieces.
